plan to start a restaurant/coffee shop bussiness in Singapore? how to start? anyone can help?
hi, i am indonesian. i have plan to start a restaurant or coffee shop bussiness in singapore. I love eat, and coffee addict. I prefer to open in Bugis Junction, Tempines, or maybe in Serangoon Road…. whereever as long as its easy to reach. Anyone wanna joint with me?
Ok, you got the location. Now you need to decide on the size. Lets say, you want to have a 25-seater.
Next, you need to set aside your startup costs. Rent, deposit, equipment, furniture, renovation, signages, initial advertising, and the first 1-2 year operational costs should amount to a fairly large sum, say from S$500,000 to S$1,000,000. If you have/ can raise that sum, you’re on your way.
There is still some potential in the restaurant business. If you open an Indonesian restaurant, you should study the competition and the market. If its a coffee shop concept, you might want to consider a 24-hour joint. There are already a large number of competitors in the regular coffee joint business. A 24-hour cafe would set your business apart.
Finally, I would not like to joint with you. Service business is quite slow and painful to me.
